| Brent Huntington has been deployed in Iraq for the past few months, alongside fellow Marine and brother Ben Tate ('00). Brent is now working at an airfield in Kuwait for the remainder of his deployment, and will be back in late March, "with plenty of time before my wedding in October" Brent adds. | Dave Owens was in a serious skiing accident and broke his neck (fracturing an upper vertebrae) but thankfully does not to seem to have suffered permanent damage. | Owen Widmer was recalled to active duty in August and spent a month at Ft Bragg, North Carolina before heading to Iraq. Owen is a Major in the US Army, and expects to be deployed for at least a year, continuing through September 2005. He also sent us a photo of "the new way to get around town - I'm the one standing through the hatch on 50 cal. Machine on the back of the Styker Vehicle." | Bryan Howie has had a busy summer, beginning with his marriage to fellow Husky Meg Matthews on June 24th in Leavenworth, WA. The couple met on the UW's Mortor Board Senior Honor Society. Then in September they moved to England, where Bryan is pursuing a D. Phil (aka PhD) at Oxford in genetic research which he has dubbed "Molecular World Domination Part II", while Meg is working towards a PhD in Geography at Cambridge with a focus on environmental issues in Latin America.
