UW Pikes Beta Beta Chapter at the University of Washington
George Kippola Fund

The George Kippola Fund was a successful project that the alumni of Pi Kappa Alpha organized in 2001. The purpose was to provide a fitting tribute to brother George Kippola ('53), and also to give the chapter a new trophycase to house the awards they have been winning.

Brother Kevin Wolfe ('92) drew up the plans for the trophycase, and constructed it with the help of Paul George ('93) and Kevin Eng ('97). Meanwhile Tom Rasmussen ('54) organized a fundraising effort to pay for the new trophycase. More than 25 alumni made contributions to the fund, in memory of brother Kippola.

The new trophycase was dedicated in a special ceremony, on the occasion of the chapter winning its first Smythe award. You can look at the photos from that event here at UWPIKES.com.
