The Pikes 2000 Project was our major alumni effort to
renovate and complete the new house for the University of Washington chapter
of Pi Kappa Alpha.
The Pikes 2000 Project is largely responsible for the amazing and unprecedented success of
our chapter since 1999. Our
chapter's successes that can be directly traced from the Pikes 2000
Project include:
- The acquisition of a new chapter house intended to
house nearly 50 Pi K A members.
- The nearly-complete restoration of that chapter house,
originally built in 1923, to bring it to year 2000 standards.
- A Fall 1999 pledge class totaling 24 members.
- The Newell Award for Most Improved Chapter in the
Nation in 2000
- A Fall 2000 pledge class totaling 25 members.
- The Robert Adger Smythe Award in 2001
- A Fall 2001 pledge class totaling 27 members - our
largest pledge class ever!
