Pikes welcomes Beta Zeta pledge class

Beta Beta’s newest pledge class, Beta Zeta is a breath of fresh air and is full of zeal for our chapter. Not only has this class excelled in unity and Pike knowledge more than any other class recently, they have a renewed faith and enthusiasm in the future of this house. Of the pledge class of twenty, seventeen were initiated as active members in January. They are all stellar in chapter attendance, as well as other functions including philanthropies and various social events. Already, many of the new actives have taken up chairmanships in the house: philanthropy, risk management, campus involvement, public relations, and several seats on the Rush Committee.

Outside of the Fraternity, Beta Zeta is active on campus as well as with the community. Although remaining busy with Fraternity functions, they have also focused their attention on school and helped increase our house GPA to a 3.22 in fall quarter. These initiates are also the first group to pass through our new Pike 101 program (Membership Development), so they formally learn Pike knowledge, chapter history, chapter etiquette, and general Pike Ritual.

Beta Zeta is the invigorated group that the Beta Beta chapter has been waiting for. We are all thrilled to embrace them as brothers, and are fully confident that they will continue our growth as a house through their interest in Rush and house development. The older actives are pleased to have initiated responsible, social, and organized individuals to carry on the legacy of Pikes. The house can only move upwards as we progressively pass the future of Beta Beta chapter into the hands of these newest initiates. We are very proud of the men of Beta Zeta class and are eager to see not only their individual advancement as brothers, but also the ways they can shape our chapter as a whole.
