Fall pledges of Beta Theta initiated

It has only been a few months and Beta Theta, Beta Beta’s newest pledge class, is already showing leadership and enthusiasm. Despite most of the pledge class living outside of the chapter house, they have shown an amazing display of unity and teamwork throughout the quarter, from their proficiency on tests of Pike procedure in the Garnet and Gold, to their solid understanding of significant Pike history in The Oak. Of the twenty-one-man pledge class, seventeen were initiated. Many of these newly initiated members have already taken over chairmanships around the house, which include: historian, fire marshal, house manager, social, public relations, and a seat on the rush committee.

Beta Theta has been busy throughout this quarter with various functions including social events, successful philanthropies, and athletic competitions. This year they will help lead Pikes to its 9th consecutive Intramural Sportsmanship Award in the Fraternity Division. Even with Beta Theta’s enthusiastic involvement in campus and social events, they have still maintained the academic standard of excellence that Pi Kappa Alpha is known for.

Beta Beta is thrilled to have its newest group of initiates be so strong in character and so excited about improving the chapter. Beta Theta Pledge Class has proved its members ready, willing, and able to do great things for Pikes at UW. We can’t wait to see what they will accomplish in the future.
