Pi Kappa Alpha now one of the largest UW fraternities
|
After another successful summer rush effort, which brought 21 new pledges to Pi Kappa Alpha for this fall,
our chapter is now among the largest fraternities at the University of Washington. Interfraternity Council numbers
released this week show that with 86 active members and pledges, Pi Kappa Alpha is the 5th largest fraternity on
campus. The average fraternity size this year is 59 men. The other
top houses are now Phi Gamma Delta, Delta Upsilon, Beta Theta Pi, and Theta Chi.
The success of Pi Kappa Alpha can be tied directly to our new chapterhouse. Since moving across the street to 4515 21st Avenue NE in 1999, the chapter has had more than 20 fall pledges each year, and with our spring pledge
class we have had nearly 30 new members join every year for 5 years in a row.
